The Ibanez RG2550EX is an RG series Prestige guitar model introduced in 2003. It replaced the RG550EX, now under the Prestige label and with the new DiMarzio IBZ pickups and Edge Pro tremolo. Other features include a basswood body and the Super Wizard neck.
In 2004, the Vibrant Blue finish was introduced for the US market. In 2005, it was replaced by the RG2550E.
